The opening scene of the film "Breakfast At Tiffany's is one of the most memorable scenes I saw as a teenager in the Philippines. I was mesmerized at the sight of a beautiful street, lined by imposing buildings and impressive stores, it was like a fantasy set in a film studio lot. "The Golden Chain Gown" is the first fashion film of designer Watus Solis. Using only the most basic of shots, editing and non-use of music background, it features the creation of a gown from the dress form to the human body. From New York, this gown was brought to the Philippines for the actual photo and video shoots. Shot in the boondocks of Rosario, La Union, the film was conceived to have an amateur home video feel to it to convey the transformation of a couture gown made by the hands of a fashion designer from single pieces of fabrics into a haute couture creation of art. I hope this film encourages everyone that anybody can do anything out of nothing...
